Ordering class tees for the first time can feel more complicated than it needs to be. This guide walks you through the whole process, from your first design idea to the moment your shirts arrive.
Step 1: Plan Your Timeline Early
This is the single most important thing first-time buyers get wrong. Allow yourself at least four weeks from the day you start collecting details to the day you need the shirts in hand.
Week 1: Finalise design concept, collect sizes from classmates or CCA members
Week 2: Submit design for mockup, collect payment from members
Week 3: Approve mockup, confirm order and payment
Week 4: Production (5–10 working days standard)
Delivery: Shirts delivered islandwide — or collected in one batch
Need it faster? Express production takes 2–3 working days, at no extra charge. But you still need time to finalise your design and collect sizes before placing the order.
Step 2: Decide on Your Design
What to include in a typical class tee:
Class name or CCA name (e.g. '2E5 2026' or 'NJC Photography Club')
School name or logo (check with your school on usage guidelines)
A mascot, slogan, or theme that represents your group
Optional: member names or graduation year on the back
Design tips: Use bold, readable fonts. Limit your colours to 2–3 for the best silkscreen result. Make sure your artwork is in a high-resolution format (PSD, AI, or PDF at 300 dpi).
Step 3: Collect Sizes Before You Order
Collect your size list before you finalise the order. Standard sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL. Kids sizes also available.
Tip: Order 2–3 extra pieces in common sizes (M, L) as spares. This costs very little more on a per-piece basis and saves a lot of stress if someone joins the group late.
Step 4: Silkscreen or DTF? Choosing the Right Method
For most school and CCA orders, silkscreen is the recommended method — it's the most cost-effective option for orders of 20 pieces or more, producing bold, vibrant colours that hold up to washing.
Choose DTF instead if: your order is fewer than 20 pieces, your design uses gradients or more than 4 colours, or you want individual names in different fonts or colours on each shirt.
Step 5: Understand the Costs
Reference prices (silkscreen, standard garment, 1 colour, 1 position):
Silkscreen — from S$8 per piece (30 pieces)
DTF — from S$9.50 per piece (30 pieces)
What's included: the blank garment, printing, quality check, and free delivery islandwide.
